eduroam is a secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their laptop.
eduroam is currently available for EiS Kent staff who are visiting participating organisations. When you visit a participating site and see the ‘eduroam’ SSID you will be able to connect to their eduroam service using your [username]@eiskent.co.uk and your domain password.

EiS Kent is currently delivering the eduroam SSID to two locations. EiS Oxford Road and Whitstable Museum. At these locations you should be able to obtain an eduroam service.
EiS Kent’s implementation of eduroam includes IP filtering as per the recommendations in the Technical Specifications of the Janet Roaming Service. For further information please see eduroam Firewall Policy
EiS’ deployment of eduroam may require some additional setup in some cases. Connection settings should be as follows: Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise, Encryption Type AES.
